Destiny Story

Rated M/18+ or RPG Rating 3 2 2

In the vast, uncharted expanse of the cosmos, the USS Normandy, a beacon of a bygone era, stood as the final testament to the Federation's lofty ideals and Starfleet's unwavering spirit. She was the last of her kind, a defiant whisper against the rising crescendo of the newly formed Galactic Alliance*. Her mission, a desperate flight for survival, saw her guarding two kindred spirits, the transport ships Titan and New Hope, as they fled the Alliance's oppressive reach. Their escape, a race against time, was nearing its culmination. The colossal Iconian gateway, a marvel of ancient technology discovered by the Normandy's intrepid crew just the previous year, hummed with nascent energy as they finalized the dialing sequence. It was at this precise, pivotal moment, as the portal shimmered on the brink of opening, that the Alliance's forces descended, a maelstrom of destructive intent.

These are the chronicles of Destiny, a Nova 2 based simulation, meticulously crafted and set within a custom universe where the shadow of real threats stretches across every star system, and danger lurks in the deepest cosmic currents. You are invited to join us here, amidst the roar of energy weapons and the silent terror of space, in a battle not just for your own existence, but for the very lives of those you are sworn to protect. Will you answer the call as a vital crew member, your skills and courage instrumental in navigating the treacherous journey ahead? Or perhaps, will you embody a citizen of peace, a civilian whose path unexpectedly intertwined with the fates of the two refugee ships, finding yourself thrust into a conflict beyond your wildest imaginings? What is your story in this unfolding saga of survival and defiance? The void awaits your answer.

Where do I start?

You will start with Cael Maz as one of the refugee's that made it to the planet via the escape pod from the USS Normandy or the SS Titan. I do recommend that you read some of the past posts to get a feel of what has been accomplished so far.

An update on the mail issues:

We currently recommend you sign up for an email account through AOL or a direct site email such as newdestinyfleet.org or projectarchlight.org. If you own your site, and you do not need this service, feel free to change to your site's email. We are now discouraging sites like Yahoo!, Hotmail, Outlook, and Gmail. I know this can be a tad annoying at times, but we do still have The Collector as a backup so if you need a copy of a post, and you can not get it from the site, which should never…

As of right now, we are still working on solutions to the email issue. If you wish to get direct emails from this sim, AOL mail appears to work just fine. As a result, The Collector must be added to any official post you want to save until such a time as we resolve the email issue. I am going to throw some facts your way here and let you decide if we missed anything you know of that we don't.

Facts:
AOL gets emails from the system.
AOL and Gmail get emails from the system but News items and…

We are now running live with the RSS Feed on our Discord page. I am happy to report that when you hit POST it will take about twenty minutes to populate, verses the two hours that we had elsewhere. I am working with the people over at Nova to see about possibly getting an update extension or perhaps a new feature that might allow for easier tag notifications. No promises but it is something I am looking into.

Emails seem to be coming in different waves from different addresses. The address changes are me attempting to get Nova to reliably…

Mission: Chapter 1: Into the Unknown
Posted on Sunday December 21st, 2025 @ 10:38am by Civilian Nigi Latar

Klaxon. That word brings to mind reds and an annoying sound that echos through ones skull. In this case, the red bleeds through the closed eyes of an Orion woman floating nearly aimlessly in the transporter room of the SS Titan. She squeezed her eyes tighter to try and block out the light and to allow the tears to float from her eyes. It was a pointless endeavor, however, the tears remained due to lack of gravity. Her right hand raised and brushed away the tears from her eyes before opening them and looking around. The rare red color in…

Mission: Chapter 1: Into the Unknown
Posted on Saturday December 20th, 2025 @ 11:14am by Ensign Cormac MacArthur & Ensign Angel Evercrest

Cormac managed to at least get emergency power back to his fighter. It was pretty beat up but functional. As he flipped the main switch, sparks flew from the console, "Fuck me!" he said as he threw his hands up to his face to protect it. He reached down and flipped the main breaker and killed all but the emergency power. His other hand reached to his combadge, =/\= Trafalgar reaching out to fighter group, anyone out there?" =/\=

Angel clutched his head from where it bumped the cabin from the chaos. It did not seem like blood was there…

Mission: Chapter 1: Into the Unknown

"Get the fuck in there," Lorenzo said to Cael, having tossed in a few things, including a phaser, a tricorder, a few emergency rations, and that was about it.

"Did you see their heads!? What the fuck happened to their heads?!" Cael said, pointing to the bodies that lay nearby. The ship was riddled with blood from most of the crew's heads exploding. Whatever was dragging them down to the surface did not get the entry right, and the hull was tearing apart. No one, save for Lorenzo and Cael, had managed to make it to the tiny escape pods…

Mission: Chapter 1: Into the Unknown
Posted on Sunday September 14th, 2025 @ 12:42pm by Commander Cael Maz

A profound silence fell over the USS Normandy, broken only by the hum of emergency power. The ship, having just burst through the shimmering maw of a gateway, now drifted in an unfamiliar void. The main lights, vibrant and reassuring moments before, had flickered and died, plunging the decks into a somber, reddish glow cast by the emergency systems. More unsettling than the sudden darkness was the disconcerting absence of gravity. Crew members, who had been bracing for the familiar lurch of FTL travel, now found themselves floating aimlessly, their tools and equipment drifting like scattered debris. A nervous cough…

Mission: Chapter 1: Into the Unknown

"My God, what have they done?" Cael said as he watched the explosion from his view screen. "Cover that ship!" he said watched the gate absorb the Titan, a Romulan transport ship carrying the last two thousand or so freed beings that refused to join up with the Galactic Alliance.

=()= It's over, surrender now, Cael, and all this can be a thing of the past. =()= came a female voice over the speakers. It was a voice he knew all too well.

=/\= Not on your life, Sis. Don't make me put you down. Not like this. =/\= Cael…
